Oh what a weekend!

Theres nothing like a long weekend. Throw in a holiday and it makes it even better! Mothers day around here was low key, it always is, but we all had a great day.

Saturday we got to keep our 2-year old twin niece and nephew. I have to admit, we all had a blast!

I have never seen kids so well behaved and just a pleasure to be around. There isnt any terrible two's going on yet, thank goodness!

They are both calling me Mimi, and loved to scream it while they were here. They sleep all night, and eat without making huge messes. Life just cant get any better than that! Sunday evening my brother in law and sister in law came over for a cookout. All the kids hollering and running around playing ball, and of course dancing. It just makes me realize that family is just one thing in life that can bring you pure joy... or pure torture. We have both sides in our family, and that makes life interesting.

Matty and Meyah modeled my Puppy Hats last winter. They loved them! Matt would walk around shaking his head so he could feel the ears flap. Pure Crazyness.. but I would never want it any other way!

Where does the time go?!

I can't believe its already the end of April! Time really flies when your having fun, huh?

I actually did something this month, that I had never done before! I have a real love-hate relationship with knitting. I taught myself a couple years ago, with a kit my hubby had given me for Christmas. I could knit simple scarves and anything that was bacially...uh well flat!

This month, I learned DPN's! All by myself!

DPN's or double pointed needles was a major challenge for me. First, I had NO idea how to use them. I had knitted with a circular needles and that wasnt too bad..but ugh... I was in for a fight!

I think it took me about 10 tries to get a decent finished hat. I would get half done, and screw something up and have no idea how to fix it, so I would pull everything out and try again. The finished hat is adorable though. So, I wont complain too much!

Now i'm working on a few new designs. Who knows if I will ever get them accomplished though!

And then...

I have been working on a new webpage forever. Well, it seems like forever anyway.
Orders have been coming in fast and furious, which is always a good thing.

I have had several order for more complex hats. Complex, simply because I have no pattern to go by, and have never crocheted anything like it before. Its challenging, and kinda nice.
This weekend, here in good ole Oklahoma, the wind has been nuts and I havent been able to do much of anything outside.

So, the booty sitting and crocheting worked out really well this weekend!

Only a few days to work this week, and im off for 5! Hoping to get the web page up and running, and lots of orders shipped!
